HUGH DILLON | Writer, Director, Executive Producer

Combining acting with a distinguished career as a singer songwriter, Hugh Dillon is a dark horse that has been galvanized as one of North America's most respected performers.

Dillon first earned notoriety in Canada and abroad as the lead singer in the multi-platinum rock and roll band, The Headstones. Signed to Universal Music in the early nineties, the band released six albums. It was early on in The Headstones' success when Hugh caught the attention of legendary filmmaker Bruce McDonald. Bruce cast Hugh in Dance Me Outside in 1994. Next came his critically acclaimed lead performance as Joe Dick in McDonald's 1996 feature film, Hard Core Logo. Quentin Tarantino distributed the movie through his company and brought international attention to the indie classic and its lead actor.

The Gemini award winning actor has since starred in the critically acclaimed Sundance Film Festival award winning movie, Down To The Bone alongside Vera Farmiga (The Departed, Up in the Air) as well as notable roles in Feature Films Lone Hero, Assault On Precinct 13, The Trailer Park Boys: The Movie and Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning.

Hugh's ability to capture honest, realistic portrayals of complicated characters has been his calling card. In 2007 he began his starring role as Mike Sweeney in the dark and twisted serial Durham County. His performance as Ed Lane in the CBS/CTV co-production Flashpoint is his first step across the border in network primetime and has recently begun their fourth season of production. Other television appearances have included ReGenesis and Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Dillon has never strayed far from his musical roots, bringing his music with him to film and television. His latest musical musings are featured in Flashpoint, Durham County, The Trailer Park Boys: The Movie and the Jennifer Lynch-directed movie, Surveillance. In between on-screen takes he retreated to The Tragically Hip's Bathouse Studio near his hometown of Kingston, Ontario, to record new tracks with Hip-ster Paul Langlois (producer). His aptly titled album, Works Well With Others, was released in the Fall of 2009.

ENRICO COLANTONI | Director, Writer

One of the most versatile actors in television and film today, viewers know Enrico Colantoni as the womanizing fashion photographer Elliott DiMauro on NBC's long-running hit, Just Shoot Me, America’s favorite dad/PI Keith Mars on the cult classic, Veronica Mars, opposite Kristen Bell, and as Mathesar, in the sci-fi/comedy film Galaxy Quest, alongside Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver. Other television credits include Hope & Gloria and guest-starring roles on NYPD Blue, New York Undercover and Law & Order.

Colantoni’s love for the arts began with a drama class he took while studying psychology and sociology at the University of Toronto. His drama teacher encouraged him to pursue an acting career, and Colantoni left school for New York, where he studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for three years. While there, he received the Princess Grace Scholarship and the Charles Jehlinger Award. He went on to graduate from the Yale School of Drama where he appeared in Hamlet at the Yale Repertory and received the school’s prestigious Carol Dye Award.

Colantoni’s feature film credits include Galaxy Quest, Criminal, Full Frontal, The First $20 Million Is Always The Hardest, A.I., Stigmata, Albino Alligator, Money Train, The Wrong Guy and My Mom’s New Boyfriend. Most recently in Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion and as J Edgar Hoover in History Channel’s The Kennedys . He received critical praise for his role as Elia Kazan in the Golden Globe award-winning and Emmy-nominated cable television movie James Dean.

His theatre credits include starring roles in Neil LaBute’s The Distance From Here, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Arabian Nights, The Triumph of Love, Dracula, Macbeth and Uncle Vanya.

Born in Toronto to Italian immigrant parents, Colantoni remains loyal to his roots. He is an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team, and is known among his friends as a skilled Italian cook. In his spare time, he has taught drama to Los Angeles youth at Inner City Arts and devotes his time to Penny Lane, a residential treatment for at-risk youth. He currently lives in Toronto with frequent trips to Los Angeles.

CHAD MAKER | Producer

Jumping into the design world at the age of twenty-one, over the past seventeen years Maker has developed campaigns, concepts and individual pieces for a long list of retail, entertainment, and editorial clients. A graphic designer by trade and a director at heart, Maker has had the good fortune to be able to combine two of his life’s passions into his body of work. Chad has designed and created full scale campaigns for companies such as Bluenotes Jeans, Randy River, The Movie Network, Labatt Blue, Access Magazine,Wampole Vitamins, Corus Entertainment and more, while also directing several TV commercials, music videos and an award-winning short film (ABOUT FACE) along the way.

One of Canada’s most prolific Film Poster Designers, Maker has over forty feature film posters in his portfolio. He has not only created poster campaigns, but also designed opening title sequences, websites and marketing packages, for films such as AMAL, ONE WEEK, HIGH LIFE, THE BABY FORMULA, REAL TIME, HARD CORE LOGO, LAST NIGHT and GINGER SNAPS.

He is a visionary thinker, illustrator, designer, director and musician, whose real drive is to assemble great people into productive teams and guide the process of creativity to a rewarding conclusion for all. With over 17 years of industry experience, Chad now shares his experience with the talented staff at Agency 71 Inc, as well as giving guest lectures at the Canadian Film Centre, National Screen Institue and Ryerson University on strategies for Film & Television marketing.

KIRK COMRIE | Producer

Kirk Comrie joined Agency 71 in 2004 to head up Agency 71’s Motion and Interactive division. Comrie brought with him over twelve years experience in audio/visual design and technical production for both live theatre and musical concerts working for artists such as Kenny Rogers, Alice Cooper, Tom Cochrane, Kim Mitchell and Randy Travis. Additionally he brought a mission-critical ethos honed over an eight year period of providing internet/computer networking infrastructure consulting and support to a start-up internet service provider.

Together with Maker, he wrote, edited, and supervised the full range of post-production on the award-winning short film About Face and in the past two years alone, Comrie has created over forty TV and Film trailers for clients including E1 Entertainment, Phase 4 Films, Union Pictures, Kinosmith Inc., The National Film Board and the Ontario Media Development Corporation.

He has created motion graphics for use in commercials, TV Station ID’s, online advertisements and opening credit/title sequences for film.

DAVID MILLER | Executive Producer

David Miller is an internationally established producer, who has overseen independent productions both within Canada and abroad, under Poor Man’s Productions and his DRM Productions shingle company.

Miller has garnered numerous international awards and most recently received a 2009 Genie nomination for Best Motion Picture for the multi-award winning feature film AMAL (by Richie Mehta). The film has garnered more than twenty prestigious awards – ranging from Best Feature Film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to Best Feature at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles to the Audience Award at the AFI Dallas Film Festival.

Miller is currently in production with a feature documentary entitled OUTSIDE THE WHALE by Ben Addelman, and in packaging on two dramatic features – BORN INTO THIS by Emmanuel Shirinian and BLACKBIRD by Jason Buxton. Miller is also in development on Richie Mehta’s follow-up feature film (currently untitled), as well as four other projects he is producing or executive producing.

In addition, Miller has produced and executive produced a number of short films including, ARUBA, by Oscar® nominated director Hubert Davis (an official selection of 2006 Sundance Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival).

While in the early stages of his independent production career, Miller was the Director of Creative & Business Development at Channel Zero Inc. (home of Movieola—The Short Film Channel, Silver Screen Classics and Ouat Media Distribution) and wrote and produced the 18th Annual Gemini Awards (Night 1 and 2). Miller also worked in Public Relations for various organizations such as the National Film Board of Canada, the Academy of Canadian Cinema, and freelanced on various films. During his time at the NFB Miller achieved success leading the organization’s 2004 Oscar® campaign, where the NFB received their 67 and 68 Academy Award® nominations and an Oscar® for the film RYAN.

David Miller is a standing member of the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), sits on the CMPA Feature Film Committee and is the Hub for PRO (Producers’ Roundtable of Ontario). In addition, Miler is the President of a new production company A71 Productions Inc., and a partner in Agency 71 inc., a North American based marketing and branding company in Toronto, Canada.

STUART REID | Line Producer

Stuart has nearly a decade of experience working for some of Canada’s largest media companies, including Alliance Atlantis, Corus Entertainment and Shaw Media. A recent graduate of the Norman Jewison Film Centre, Stuart is currently a Principal Partner of Skyfarm Entertainment Inc. and working as an Associate Producer at A71 Productions in Toronto. With a background in marketing and production, Stuart creates compelling content for television, film and the web. His feature documentary MARMATO is currently in post-production and his comedy web series STRAIGHT MAN will be released this summer. Stuart managed production of the popular children's series FOUR SQUARE for Treehouse TV and is currently developing a number of television series and feature films, including WILD LIFE, BROBOTS, BULLETPROOF ANGEL and ALIEN SPRING BREAK.
